Vice President - Professional Development

Leekeesha Duncan

I am Leekeesha, the playback training coach. I am passionate about people development. It is that passion that inspired me to become involved in HR and specialize in training and development. What is a playback training coach you ask? I am an educator/facilitator/educational/ instructional coach / curriculum development specialist and HR Trainer.

My journey began working in the creative and performing arts and the use of theatre in education and drama in education techniques in teaching; creating transformative learning experiences. I have worked in youth development across the region for over 19 years now, developing programs that examine life skills, HIV and AIDs, consumer rights and more. Doing this type of work has been rewarding and fulfilling to me on a myriad of levels. I have also led teams that conducted training programs for the managers through the use of the playback theatre method. This coupled with the psychological theories of work and personality types create a powerful tool for transforming work teams and creating the dynamics that drive performance and overall organizational development. I take joy in creating these experiences that allow participants to enjoy the learning process and reach those ‘ah ha’ moments that bring about the much needed shift.

My formal education along with my experiences have given me an eclectic mix of techniques and tools in designing training and educational programs that are effective and transformative. I hold a MSc. in Human Resource Development, BSc. in Psychology, B.A in Literatures in English, Post Graduate Diploma in the Teaching of Performing Arts, Certificate in HR Analytics, Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and I am presently pursuing a MSc. In Educational Leadership and Management and Emerging Technologies. Training is what I do. Education is what I am about. People development is my passion. I am a playback training coach and here to support your professional development.
